Nikos K. Nikolettos
Professor of Reproductive Physiology – In Vitro Fertilization
Obsetrician and Gynaecologist, Dr Nikolettos started his academic career in 1989 and has been an active Professor at the Democritus University of Thrace since 2005. Prof. Nikolettos has been specialised in assisted repruduction at international centres abroad and founded “Embryokosmogenesis” in 2000. He had been the head of the Department of Assisted Conceptionof the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis from 2007 to 2011.Prof. Nikolettos has been the medical director of “Embryokosmogenesis” from 2011 onwards.
Violetta Karachaliou BSc, M MedSci
Clinical Embryologist
Violetta studied Biochemistry at the University of Essex, UK (BSc Honours in Biochemistry) and completed postgraduate studies at the University of Nottingham, UK in the field of assisted reproduction (Master of Medical Science on Assisted Reproductive Technologies). She is fully trained in all the techniques currently applied in assisted reproduction including the Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection - ICSI and the vitrification of oocytes and embryos. She has been a clinical embryologist in “Embryokosmogenesis” since 2009 and is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
